Innovative Malaria Research in Southeast Asia (via GHREAT@UC Irvine)

In the first of a four-part GHREAT Video series, Dr. Guiyun Yan, a Professor in Program of Public Health, University of California Irvine and also the ICEMR Southeast Asia Malaria Research center co-PI, and other UC Irvine faculty, staffs and students cooperated with Dr. Jetsumon Sattabongkot Prachumsri, Director of Mahidol Vivax Research Center and Professor in Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, and Dr. Jeeraphat Sirichaisinthop, Vector Borne Disease Training Center, Thailand and their staffs to tackle severe malaria by creating new diagnostics and providing innovative treatments to patients in Thailand/Myanmar border and elsewhere in Southeast Asia.  This video was made possible by the outreach program of UCI's Global Health Research, Education and Translation (GHREAT) Initiative.
