We established our Nabang Field Station in 2010 which is locatied in China side of the China/Myanmar border. Nabang is a pretty small town with around 2,000 residents, but during banana or water melon harvest seasons, the population maybe increased up to 10,000. In the opposite of Nabang along China/Myanmar border is Laiza. Laiza is the capital of Kachin Independence Organization.

Tha Song Yang, Tak, Thailand

Tha Song Yang is a district of Tak Province in Thailand. The district office is located in the subdistrict (tambon) town of Mae Tan, therefore, some people called the Mae Tan as Tha Song Yang. However, there are six subdistricts (tambon) within the Tha Song Yang district, one of tambon its name also is Tha Song Yang, and whihin this tambon, there are 9 villages (ban), one of these its name also is Tha Song Yang.
